Putting Patients First (PPF) Blog: Why did you want to work for the NHC?

I wanted a position where I could work with a variety of people while also contributing to the operations side of the office. Creating efficiency, organization, and developing standards is an intricate part of any office and is something I am passionate about doing. The NHC is constantly changing and evolving, that’s something I wanted to be apart of.

PPF Blog: What upcoming projects are you excited about working on?

In the short term, I am working on a brainstorming project about returning to the office after the COVID-19 shutdown. Working remotely during this pandemic has created many opportunities and valuable information about how we can maximize our time, content, and events. I want to take all I’ve learned and implement this into our daily office routines.

PPF Blog: You assist the NHC membership team and organize contacts using Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Tell us about your process and the importance of communicating with our members often.

My approach to Microsoft CRM Dynamics is consistency. The program helps to keep NHC members updated by sending out content regularly. Having updated contacts is a critical part of communication and distributions. I make CRM a daily priority and remind others of its importance.

PPF Blog: In your opinion, what makes NHC membership unique? Why should organizations want to join?P

The NHC’s values are what makes the membership unique. Integrity, Forward-Thinking, Collaboration, Patient Focused, Transparency, and Diversity and Inclusion are the core of what the NHC is.

Our staff members are constantly working on innovative ways to support our members individual needs. Resources, conferences, symposiums, webinars, social media, NHC Insider newsletters, blogs, and the Job Bank are forms of networking that help to keep our members connected as a collective. Living by our Standards of Excellence and holding our members accountable to uphold them as well is what, in my opinion, makes the NHC different and what organizations want to be a part of.

PPF Blog: What’s your favorite part about working at the NHC?

The camaraderie and diversity of the staff. Everyone is so supportive and willing to share every resource they have. The culture of our office is based on unity and equality, it is truly something to be admired.

PPF Blog: Tell us something about you personally. What do you do outside of work?

I am a Mom of a 12-year-old son. Learning to play videos games, sports, and TikTok is routine. Watching anything in the Sci-Fi category, swimming, and reading are my favorites things to do.
