Manager, Digital Media, ALS Association

Location: Rosslyn, VA
Reports to: Director, Digital Media

The ALS Association National Office is seeking an energetic, mission-driven professional to provide support  for chapters looking to improve the quality of their websites and social media, leadership support for the evolution of digital marketing and e-commerce and to provide best practice training to staff.

Reporting to the Director, Digital Media, the position will support and the creation and deployment of marketing strategies related, but not limited to, web-based properties and user experiences.  This is a full-time position and is based in the Rosslyn, VA  headquarters of The ALS Association.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include but not are limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support the digital media director in strategy, design, implementation and goal setting for the Association’s digital programs
  • Design digital marketing campaigns aligned with business goals
  • Maintain the impact of a strong online company voice through social media through daily monitoring, posts and responses to audience queries
  • Manage end-to-end digital projects
  • Enhance our web presence to boost brand awareness
  • Coordinate the creation of digital content with digital media director, communications director and graphic design team
  • Liaise with chapters to ensure and consistent branding and user experience across all digital properties
  • Suggest, implement and evaluate performance of direct marketing and communication methods to increase the reach and impact of our messages
  • Monitor ROI and KPIs
  • Support exploration and implementation of e-commerce strategies
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing developments and opportunities
  • Convey an image that reflects favorably on The ALS Association at all times

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, digital media or relevant field
  • Three to five years of proven work experience as a Digital media specialist or Digital marketing manager
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media​​​​
  • Solid knowledge of Photoshop and Dreamweaver
  • Highly creative with experience identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, WebTrends)
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaign
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints Ability to multitask and successfully perform under tight deadlines
  • Additional qualification in web design, audi0-video editing and/or animation is a plus
