Principal Duties And Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As the Senior Manager, Student Development you will:

  • Develop, implement, and manage meetings, programs, and activities that address the needs of APhA’s student pharmacist members.
  • Develop, implement, and manage APhA-ASP patient care, and community service projects and programs.
  • Serve as primary staff liaison to APhA-ASP Chapters for the implementation of chapter activities, leader, and business-related operations.
  • Manage the APhA-ASP website and assist with chapter leadership e-communications.
  • Assist with the development of recruitment and retention campaigns for student pharmacists.
  • Collaborate with the APhA business development and other internal departments to meet the needs of APhA student members.
  • Represent the member relations department and plan associated student membership activities and programming at various conferences, meetings, and networking events.

Qualifications

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

APhA may be the right fit for you if:

  • A bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and a license to practice are required. A Doctor of Pharmacy degree and residency training is preferred.
  • You have minimum 5 years of experience in an association membership position with demonstrated success as it relates to students.
  • You have a passion for working with healthcare providers.
  • You are sales and results-oriented with strong project management skills.
  • You have strong data analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You have strong creative writing and marketing skills.
  • You have demonstrable experience managing social media, and/or display advertising campaigns.
  • You have solid knowledge of website analytics tools and resources.
  • You have experience with association and customer relationship management systems.
  • You are able to work independently, as part of a team, and effectively with volunteers to convene meetings and facilitate training/discussion that ensures membership growth.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, a positive member-service philosophy and professional demeanor.
  • You are able to travel as appropriate to execute duties of the position, up to 30% travel.
