VP Corporate Partnerships & Initiatives, Sjögren’s Foundation

Location: This full-time job is based in Reston, VA, near the Wiehle-Reston Station. Flexible work location is open for discussion.

The Sjögren’s Foundation is a patient advocacy organization dedicated to making a significant difference in the lives of Sjögren’s patients. Sjögren’s (SHOW-grins) is a serious and systemic autoimmune disease that affects the entire body. Approximately 4 million Americans live with Sjögren’s, and yet it remains a misunderstood and underdiagnosed disease.

This is an extremely exciting time in the Sjögren’s world as new research is being conducted that can change what we know about this disease, how it is diagnosed, and how we target treatment and management for patients. Currently, Sjogren’s has no specific therapy on the market, but there are fifteen companies in clinical trials with twenty-one therapies. We anticipate that new therapies for Sjögrens will come to market within the next 3-5 years.
