Registration Now Open for the 2022 Science of Patient Engagement Symposium; From Research to Action: Health Equity for All

By: Jennifer Schleman, Vice President, Marketing Communications

Over the past couple of years, the COVID-19 pandemic has upended the world, and health inequities among historically underrepresented racial/ethnic groups have magnified. The science of understanding the patient has never been more important. Specifically, health equity research, where diverse patients are at the core of scientific inquiry, is imperative to tackling these issues.

That is why the 2022 National Health Council (NHC) Science of Patient Engagement Symposium theme, From Research to Action: Health Equity for All, is so critical for the patient community and the researchers who engage with patients. Registration is now open for the event, scheduled for October 19-20, 2022.

The Science of Patient Engagement Symposium is an annual event where research leaders convene to share their experiences, accomplishments, best practices, and resulting translational impacts on the science of patient engagement.

Attending the Science of Patient Engagement Symposium will enable you:

  1. Understand the applicability of patient engagement research into action and practice.
  2. Illustrate the importance of health equity integration into patient engagement research.
  3. Identify synergistic research opportunities between scientists and patient advocacy groups.
  4. Exchange innovative and thought-provoking research ideas and agendas.
