The NHC Launches New Educational Program on Health Economics and Value Assessment
Today, the National Health Council launched our second online educational program, “In the Pursuit of Value: An Introduction to Health Economics and Value Assessment.”
Tailored to patients and patient advocacy organizations, the educational series on the basics of health economics and value assessment can be found, at no charge, on our website.
Participants who complete all seven modules will gain an overall understanding of the environment that has led to the demand for health economic studies and value assessments, a general overview of the basics on these topics for informed decision making, and steps for patient and patient group activation for engagement.
This program was developed in cooperation with the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s School of Pharmacy, the NHC Patient Value Advisory Committee, and the NHC Value Work Group. For more information and to access the educational modules, visit the NHC website.
