Poster Reception
The National Health Council invites you to submit an abstract for the 2026 Science of Patient Engagement Summit Poster Reception. This event brings together organizations working at the forefront of patient engagement to discuss the most pressing issues facing patients and their unpaid family caregivers.
When: Monday, May 11 from 5:00–6:30 p.m. ET
Where: National Landing, Amazon HQ2, Arlington, VA
Poster Reception Overview
The Poster Reception will highlight up to 15 studies, initiatives, or projects advancing patient-centered research, patient-centered policy, and/or patient engagement. Submissions are open to all, but we especially encourage patient organizations and other health care nonprofits to share their research for this event.
NHC member registration for the Summit is complimentary for poster presenters. For non-NHC member nonprofits and students who qualify for the poster session, registration will be covered by a scholarship fund. Non-NHC members who are not in these categories will be required to pay registration.
Eligibility Criteria
This Summit’s Poster Reception will highlight up to 15 studies, initiatives, or projects related to patient-centered research, patient-centered policy, and/or patient engagement. Submissions are open to all, but we especially encourage patient organizations and other health care nonprofits to submit their research for this event.

Abstract Submissions Deadline: March 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET
Notification of Abstract Acceptance: By April 10, 2026
Final Poster Submission (if accepted): April 21, 2026
Poster reception: May 11, 2026, from 5:00–6:30 p.m. ET
Please note: Abstracts will NOT be accepted after the submission deadline.
After submitting your abstract, you should receive a confirmation email by April 1, 2026. If you do not receive this email, your submission may not have been received, and you should contact the NHC team at NHCprograms@nhcouncil.org
Abstract Requirements
Abstracts should be no more than 500 words and should include the following components (headers are suggested but not required):
Submissions must also include a brief response to the question: “How would you describe the importance of your work to someone with no background in patient engagement?”
