John Beezer, Senior Advisor – Majority Staff, Consumer Protection subcommittee, Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation

John Beezer is a senior advisor serving on the majority staff of the Consumer Protection subcommittee of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. He is focused on privacy, digital media, and artificial intelligence. For most of his career, John was a software Product Manager, working on numerous startups and for major tech companies including Microsoft, Time-Warner, and Limewire. He first worked with Chair Cantwell at RealNetworks, a Seattle start-up that pioneered streaming media, and he served as director of internet communications for Sen. Cantwell’s first campaign for Senate in 2000. He’s been with the Commerce Committee since 2019.

Felix Wu, Legislative Assistant for Democratic Caucus Vice Chair and House AI Task Force Co-Chair Congressman Ted Lieu (D-CA)
 
Felix Wu is a Legislative Assistant for Democratic Caucus Vice Chair and House AI Task Force Co-Chair Congressman Ted Lieu (D-CA). In his role Wu covers health care, judiciary, and government oversight issues. Prior to joining Congressman Lieu’s office, he served in legislative roles for Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-CA) and Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA). Before going to Capitol Hill, Wu led community organizing efforts for electoral campaigns, including the 2020 Warren presidential campaign, 2016 Clinton presidential campaign, and Progressive Turnout Project PAC.
 
He is a native of Cupertino, California, and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Emory University.

Jane Bigham, MPH, Deputy Health Policy Director, Senate HELP Committee, Majority

Jane Bigham currently serves as the Deputy Health Policy Director of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee for Chair Bernard (“Bernie”) Sanders. She has been with the Committee for a over three years and specifically works on public health and preparedness issues.

Ms. Bigham previously worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for nearly 10 years working on a variety of public health policy issues, including occupational safety and health and emerging infectious diseases. Before joining the federal government, she worked at The Carter Center in Atlanta, Ga.

Ms. Bigham has a BA in Psychology and Spanish from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Ga. and a master’s degree in public health from Emory University.

Brian Fahey, Advisory Board Member, Political Science and International Relations, University of Delaware
 
Brian is originally from Delaware and graduated from the University of Delaware in 2014 with a degree in Political Science. After graduating, Brian spent his early career working in various fundraising and teaching roles in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware. Brian’s interest in policy and politics landed him a position on a successful insurgent state senate campaign against a powerful incumbent. Brian subsequently served as a staffer for the Delaware State Senate Republican Caucus before moving to Washington, D.C., to pursue an opportunity working on Capitol Hill for Representative Jeff Fortenberry and then as a policy staffer for US Senator Joni Ernst. Brian now serves as a senior policy staffer for Representative John Curtis, a leading voice on US-China relations and highly respected for his bipartisanship.
 
Brian also volunteers in the community, serving as Chair of the University of Delaware Department of Political Science and International Relations’ Alumni 

Advisory Board and previously as Chair of the Junior Achievement of Delaware’s Young Professionals Board.

When Brian is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, golfing or hiking with his dog, Rudy, and watching sports. He is also an avid classic rock listener and loves all Philadelphia sports teams.

Victoria Knight is a health care reporter at Axios covering health policy in Congress. She previously worked at KFF Health News where she covered health policy debates in the 2020 presidential election and the COVID-19 pandemic response. She has a master’s degree in health journalism from the University of Georgia.
