Kimberly A. Beer Joins the National Health Council as Senior Vice President, Policy and External Affairs

(WASHINGTON, DC, March 17, 2025) The National Health Council (NHC) welcomes Kimberly A. Beer as Senior Vice President, Policy and External Affairs. In this leadership role, Beer will lead the NHC’s Policy team to advance the NHC’s vision for a society with access to high-quality, affordable health care for all Americans and is a member of the organization’s executive leadership team.
“We are thrilled Kim has joined the NHC team, bringing with her a wealth of experience in nonprofit advocacy, public policy, and strategic management,” said Randall L. Rutta, NHC’s Chief Executive Officer. “Kim has long been a dedicated advocate for patient-centric health care policy and has previously held leadership roles at several NHC member organizations.”
Beer comes to the NHC from the Chistopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, where she served as the Senior Director for Public Policy and Advocacy directing the development of the Foundation’s legislative, regulatory, and advocacy activities. Previously, she was the Director of Public Policy at Susan G. Komen, Director of Advocacy and Government Relations at the Arthritis Foundation, and Assistant Director of Federal Affairs at the American Academy of Physician Associates. During her time at the Arthritis Foundation, Beer served as the Chair of the NHC Government Relations Affinity Group (now the Government Relations Action Team).
Beer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from The Catholic University, a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, and a Post Master’s Certificates in Clinical Community Counseling and At-Risk Counseling from The Johns Hopkins University. She also serves as a Special Needs Counselor for Potomac Community Resources, providing respite care and support for teens and adults with developmental differences.
