The following statement is from NHC’s Chief Executive Officer, Marc Boutin, JD:
The Department of Justice and Trump Administration are flat-out wrong. By declaring the individual mandate unconstitutional and important protections for people with pre-existing conditions must also be thrown out, the Trump Administration has failed patients with chronic diseases and disabilities. This irresponsible decision will return us to the old days of denying coverage for those who need it the most.
