Mental Health America President & CEO Schroeder Stribling Named Chair of the NHC Board of Directors for 2025

(WASHINGTON, DC, December 12, 2024) The National Health Council (NHC) today elected the officers and members of the 2025 Board of Directors. Schroeder Stribling, President & Chief Executive Officer, Mental Health America, will serve as the Chair of the NHC Board of Directors for 2025. Other members of the Board’s Executive Committee are: Chair Elect Michael Osso, President & Chief Executive Officer, Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation; Vice Chair Charles Henderson, Chief Executive Officer, American Diabetes Association; Secretary Sue Peschin, President & Chief Executive Officer, Alliance for Aging Research; Treasurer Harold Wimmer, National President & Chief Executive Officer, American Lung Association; and Immediate Past Chair Jeff Todd, President & Chief Executive Officer, Prevent Blindness.
“The NHC Board will be in excellent hands in 2025 under Schroeder Stribling’s leadership as we launch our new three-year Strategic Plan,” said Randall Rutta, the NHC’s Chief Executive Officer. “Her career demonstrates her commitment to service, advocacy, and equity that will propel the NHC’s efforts to address the priorities and needs of people with chronic conditions and their family caregivers.”
One new member was elected to join the NHC Board of Directors for a three-year term: Calaneet Balas, President & Chief Executive Officer, The ALS Association.
Balas joins the current board members who were re-elected to three-year terms: Todd; Peschin; Michele M. Oshman, Senior Vice President & Head of Patient Advocacy, BIO; and Dr. Gary Puckrein, President & CEO, National Minority Quality Forum.
