By Silke Schoch, Manager, Research & Programs
Register now for the upcoming National Health Council (NHC) Science of Patient Engagement Symposium! The NHC Symposium brings together medical, scientific, and research leaders from a variety of patient advocacy organizations, nonprofit health groups, government, and industry— offering attendees a rare opportunity to connect, communicate, and learn from each other about the science of patient engagement. The theme of this year’s Symposium is Achieving Trust in and Trustworthiness of Science and will be held virtually on October 13-14.
Join us for two days of engaging sessions, including a workshop on “Tackling the Infodemic: Our Mission-Essential Role in Overcoming Falsehood and Building Trust.” Led by Lynn Hanessian, Chief Strategist at Edelman’s US Health team, the workshop and breakout discussions will review data regarding how mis/disinformation threatens the well-being of patients across the United States. We will discuss strategies for activating influencers across our communities and redoubling our roles as sources of truthful, authentic information.
