By: Silke Schoch, Senior Manager, Research & Programs

The National Health Council (NHC) is excited to announce that its 2023 Science of Patient Engagement Symposium is now open for registration for NHC members! Taking place in-person for the first time since 2019, the Symposium will be on May 8, 2023, from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. The theme for this year is Patient Empowerment in the Digital Health Era. Sessions will explore telehealth and the digital divide, medical device development and technology design, artificial intelligence, health equity, and more.

You can register for the Symposium here.

The Science of Patient Engagement Symposium is an annual event where research leaders convene to share their experiences, accomplishments, best practices, and resulting translational impacts on the science of patient engagement.

Who should attend?

The Symposium is open to all NHC members working on patient-centered research and engagement activities. NHC members in the business, industry, and associate categories receive one Symposium registration as a member benefit. Additional seats at the meeting come with sponsorship. For sponsorship information, please contact Mary Crowther.

Due to limits at the venue, NHC members will be considered for registration first. Non-member nonprofit and research staff working on patient-centered research and engagement activities can register without cost but may have delayed approval depending on space. Non-member business and industry organizations must sponsor to attend.
