By: Bhriana Onuoha, Senior Coordinator, Communications
In just 12 weeks, the National Health Council (NHC) will travel west for the 2024 Health Leadership Conference. During this event, executive leaders from some of the nation’s top patient organizations and partners of patient organizations will gather to cultivate connections, discuss timely leadership topics and emerging issues in health care, and learn best practices and trends in nonprofit management.
This year, the NHC is excited to announce Dr. Akilah Watkins as the 2024 keynote speaker!
Dr. Watkins is president and CEO of Independent Sector (IS). She has established a 25-year career as a national thought leader, conference speaker, and nonprofit executive, and her work has garnered attention from authoritative news outlets including CNN, The New York Times, and Essence.
While she has much to contribute to the topic of leadership, Dr. Watkins is not the only speaker the NHC is excited to announce. Wendy Armendariz, CEO of Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health, will also grace the stage.
There will also be appearances from Amazon’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sunita Mishra, who will talk in depth about the future of health care, and David Wasserman, Senior Editor and Elections Analyst from the Cook Political Report, on how the 2024 presidential election will impact the health care landscape.
More information on the speakers, as well as the conference agenda, will be released soon. In the meantime, register to join the NHC in Scottsdale, AZ, from Feb.21-23, 2024, for this one-of-a-kind conference.
We hope to see you there!
