About the EventThe Washington Representatives Retreat is an annual National Health Council (NHC) event where patient organizations and partners of patient organizations have an opportunity to discuss policy developments, hear from prominent speakers, provide input in the developing of the NHC’s legislative priorities, and network with public policy and government relations professionals from patient advocacy groups and nonprofit organizations.

Who Should AttendThis is a member-only event open to NHC Patient Organizations and Partners of Patient Organizations — specifically policy and government relations staff — and event sponsors. NHC Patient Organizations (formerly Voluntary Health Associations) and Partners of Patient Organizations (formerly Professional Membership Associations and Nonprofit Organizations with an Interest in Health) are encouraged to attend.

NHC members from the Business & Industry membership category, including nonprofit health sector trade groups, can attend with the commitment of event sponsorship. Please contact Mary Crowther, Manager of Membership and Development, at mcrowther@nhcouncil.org for details.

Please Note: We encourage multiple people from NHC member Patient Organizations and Partners of Patient Organizations to attend.

This summer, the NHC Board approved new membership categories for accessibility and ease, reducing the categories from 5 to 3. To learn more about the updated NHC membership categories, please visit the NHC website. If you are not sure which NHC membership category applies to your organization, please contact membership@nhcouncil.org.
