About the Event
The National Health Council (NHC) Washington Representatives Retreat offers a unique opportunity for member organizations to step back from day-to-day advocacy efforts and engage in strategic dialogue around the evolving health policy landscape.

This year’s Retreat will:

    • Analyze the shifting policy landscape—reflect on changes in 2025 and prepare for 2026 priorities.
    • Provide timely policy insights—hear updates on federal health policy actions, impacts on state policy, regulatory activities, and emerging issues.
    • Strengthen advocacy approaches—explore effective tools for advancing policy in today’s policy climate.
    • Foster peer collaboration—connect with colleagues, share experiences, and solve interactive challenges together.
    • Center the patient voice—continue to ensure that policy discussions remain grounded in the real-world experiences and needs of patients.

Who Should Attend
The Retreat is for policy professionals from NHC member patient organizations and partners of patient organizations including:

    • Senior Policy, Advocacy, Regulatory, and Government Affairs Professionals and their teams from patient advocacy organizations and nonprofit groups who are instrumental in shaping health policy, driving patient-centered initiatives, and advancing legislative and regulatory priorities through active engagement with Congress and federal agencies.
    • Early-career professionals from NHC member organizations looking to deepen their understanding of health policy, expand their professional network, and gain insights into the current advocacy landscape.
    • Event Sponsors & Industry Partners. NHC business & industry members—and non-member for-profit organizations— are invited to attend through event sponsorship. This opportunity is ideal for those looking to connect with patient organizations, stay ahead of emerging policy trends, and align strategies with the evolving needs of patients and caregivers.
