CMS will soon release details outlining how patients, caregivers, and other interested parties can provide input in the next cycle of Medicare drug price negotiations. This information is expected shortly, and the list of drugs selected for the next cycle of negotiations will be announced by February 1, 2026. 

On January 22 at 11:00 a.m. ET, the National Health Council (NHC) will host a discussion with CMS and patient and provider organizations to explore opportunities to strengthen patient engagement in the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program (MDPNP) for 2028. CMS officials will walk advocates through the specific pathways for patient and provider participation and highlight enhancements to public engagement, and the role of patient input.
