About the Webinars
This is a four-part webinar series that explores value assessment and the methodology behind value models, including alternatives to the QALY. As the traditional fee-for-service payment system gives way to more value-based payment arrangements, understanding and defining the value of health care treatments and interventions has become a priority for everyone in the health care ecosystem. To be patient-centered, value models must incorporate the patient voice. Such action is particularly important if payers look to value assessments to inform reimbursement and coverage decisions that can affect the treatment options accessible to a patient. This webinar series will set a foundation to understanding value assessment in the U.S., as well as the pros and cons of the current alternatives to the QALY including the GRA-QALY, HYT, and the evLYG. Patient organizations and those interested in patient-centered value assessment are encouraged to attend. The first webinar of the series will be on Sept. 5, 2024, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. ET
