2022 Science of Patient Engagement Symposium


The National Health Council (NHC) announces the theme of the 2022 Science of Patient Engagement Symposium, From Research to Action: Health Equity for All. Over the past couple of years, the COVID-19 pandemic has upended the world, and health inequities among historically underrepresented racial/ethnic groups have magnified. The science of understanding the patient has never been more important. Specifically, health equity research, where diverse patients are at the core of scientific inquiry, is imperative to tackling these issues.

Marquee meetings

Health Leadership Conference

Network with other leaders from the nation’s top voluntary health agencies and related nonprofits, learn about best practices for nonprofit health organizations, and emerging issues in health care policy. The conference is scheduled for May 3-5, 2022 at the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables in FL.

Science of Patient Engagement Symposium

The only event where research leaders convene to share their experiences, accomplishments, best practices and resulting impacts on the science of patient engagement with a broad scientific audience. The virtual event is scheduled for October 19-20.

Washington Representatives Retreat

Unique opportunity to discuss major policy developments, hear from prominent speakers, provide input in developing NHC’s 2023 priorities and network with public policy and government relations professionals from voluntary health agencies and nonprofit organizations. This event is only open to nonprofit members and event sponsors. The retreat is scheduled for November 17-18, 2022 at the Graduate Annapolis Hotel in MD.
