Lungs are a part of the respiratory system, a group of organs and tissues that work together to help you breathe. Lung disease includes diseases that affect the passage of air through the airways and the use of oxygen in the lungs. The American Lung Association is working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, through research, education and advocacy.
