OSSO AND PALEY JOIN NATIONAL HEALTH COUNCIL BOARD OF DIRECTORS
(WASHINGTON, DC) At its quarterly meeting, the National Health Council (NHC) Board of Directors unanimously added Michael Osso, CEO of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, and Amit Paley, CEO and Executive Director of The Trevor Project, to its leadership ranks.
“As we work to develop the NHC’s next strategic plan, Michael and Amit will provide valuable input and guidance,” said Diana Gray, President & Chief Executive Officer, Hydrocephalus Association, and the Chairperson of the NHC Board of Directors. “I, and the other members of the NHC Board, welcome and look forward to collaborating with them.”
“I am excited and honored to have Michael and Amit join the NHC Board,” said Randall Rutta, Chief Executive Officer of the NHC. “Both have demonstrated impressive leadership in their respective organizations and have been contributing at a high-level to advance the NHC’s patient-centered priorities. They bring critical expertise to the NHC in challenging times that will directly enhance our advocacy for people with chronic diseases and disabilities.”
Osso is filling the open seat left vacant when Gary Reedy, former Chief Executive Officer of the American Cancer Society, retired. Osso’s appointment runs through the end of 2021. Paley is filling the vacant seat of Paul Gionfriddo, who also recently retired as CEO of Mental Health America. Paley’s Board term runs through Dec. 2022.
