Racquel Codling, MA, CMP, CEM
Senior Director, Meetings & Events | rcodling@nhcouncil.org
Racquel Codling brought over two decades of event planning experience with her when she joined the National Health Council as its Director, Meetings & Events in February 2022. In this role, Codling oversees the NHC’s three annual marquee events as well as numerous smaller meetings that take place both virtually and in-person.
Codling prides herself on ensuring that these events bring great value and information-sharing opportunities to the NHC’s 145 members. Prior to joining the NHC, Codling held meeting and event positions at the director level with non-profits and trade associations within the finance, health care, and transportation sectors.
The NHC’s mission of patient advocacy, especially for families living in underserved communities, is near and dear to Codling’s heart, as she’s witnessed firsthand the difficulties that still exist to this day for African American women as they try to secure consistent and comprehensive coverage for themselves in a health care system that has historically left them feeling marginalized and ignored.
Codling earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Communication from Howard University in Washington, DC. and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Tampa in Florida. She is also a certified meeting professional (CMP) and certified in exhibition management (CEM).
