As the National Health Council’s (NHC) resource for patient partnership in health AI and technology, PXI connects patients and innovators to promote the responsible, equitable, trustworthy, and transformative use of AI, digital health, and technology.

PXI ensures that any activity aimed at shaping the future of health care by leveraging   health AI, digital health, and other technologies – from research to diagnosis to treatment from access and efficiency to policy and practice – reflects the realities and priorities of patients and their caregivers

As AI reshapes virtually every aspect of health care, full and meaningful patient engagement is essential. Anything less risks eroding trust, worsening disparities, and missing the true potential of these technologies to improve lives. Industry leaders are increasingly embracing patient expertise across the innovation life cycle to accelerate discovery, enhance design, access markets, and optimize investment. PXI Partnership Opportunities

PXI uses a tiered partnership structure that has at its core a Stakeholder Collaborative to accommodate a wide range of interests to advance business, mission, and philanthropic objectives at the intersection of technology and health. PXI welcomes patient health leaders and advocates, investors, startup innovators, technology sector leaders, consultants and vendors, and grassroots champions to join forces.  Each tier is structured to invite meaningful participation and support. 

Every level of engagement and support comes with valuable benefits, including concierge-style support for engagement goals, access to PXI tools, strategic collaboration opportunities, and a seat at the table in shaping what’s next. The Stakeholder Collaborative offers three categories for participation, benefit and fee levels follow.

Consultants, vendors, and other businesses seeking to support PXI participants and mission are limited to Collaborator Preferred or Collaborator Premium participation.

Consideration of fee amount may be made for in-kind contribution of goods and services that support PXI mission, impact, and growth. 

PXI Collaborator Levels

PXI’s Collaborator Tiers offer structured opportunities for mission-aligned organizations to connect, co-create, and lead within the patient-informed health AI ecosystem. From early-stage innovators to established leaders, each tier offers customized support, strategic collaboration, and visibility across PXI’s national platform.

Collaborator Basic – $7,500

Designed for smaller nonprofits, emerging startups, independent consultants, and mission-aligned businesses looking to grow their capacity, gain visibility, and contribute to patient-centered health technology.

 Collaborator Preferred – $15,000

Tailored for established consultancies, health tech vendors, advocacy groups, and innovation-forward nonprofits seeking deeper engagement and cross-sector visibility.

This tier supports organizations ready to move from participation to strategic collaboration—co-developing tools, sharing expertise, and accelerating patient-informed innovation in healthcare.

 Collaborator Premium – $35,000

Created for leading health systems, academic medical centers, AI innovators, biotech and life sciences companies, financial partners, and research institutions committed to shaping the future of patient-centered health technology.

This level offers deep, sustained engagement across PXI’s national platform—providing early access to innovation, leadership opportunities, and a direct role in co-developing strategy, tools, and programs.

Note: Organizations joining PXI in 2025 will immediately quality for benefits of participation through December 31, 2026.

PXI Philanthopic Opportunities and Pathways to Partnership 

PXI is designed to invite philanthropic engagement at various levels of giving that advance thought-leader investment in advancing transformational patient-informed advancements in health AI digital health, and technology innovation. 

PXI’s Pathways to Partnership is a flexible, value-driven entry point for nonprofit organizations with annual operating budgets under $3 million. The NHC believes that financial capacity should never be a barrier to meaningful participation in shaping the future of healthcare innovation. This program ensures that smaller nonprofits—who often lead some of the most impactful grassroots work—can actively engage, collaborate, and co-create within the PXI ecosystem.
