Claire Finney, MPH, Associate Director, Health Equity, Lupus Research Alliance and Lupus Therapeutics
As the Associate Director for Health Equity at Lupus Research Alliance and Lupus Therapeutics, Claire leads all health equity programming across the organization, with an emphasis on enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in lupus clinical trials and research.
Prior to joining Lupus Therapeutics, Claire served as a Senior Program Manager at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Marnix E.Heersink School of Medicine, where she led the implementation of healthequity programs in the Department of Medical Education and fosteredstrategic community partnerships between the institution and the localcommunity.
Over the last decade, Claire found her passion for health equity and built her career in a variety of roles in community engagement and public health. She served in national service programs with AmeriCorps and the United States Peace Corps and then later moved into community-facing roles at community-based organizations and universities.
She received her Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Taylor Adjei, MPH, Senior Program Coordinator, Health Equity, Lupus Research Alliance and Lupus Therapeutics
Taylor Adjei is the Senior Program Coordinator, Health Equity at Lupus Research Alliance and Lupus Therapeutics. She oversees the coordination, implementation, and assessment of initiatives to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in lupus clinical trials and the research landscape.
With over a decade of leadership experience in the Health and Wellness Sector, Taylor has effectively spearheaded cross-functional global and domestic projects, initiatives, and programs. Her unwavering dedication to collaborative strategic planning underscores her commitment to health equity, promoting wellness, and enhancing the well-being of others.
Previously, Taylor was a Public Health Project Manager at the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County, where she successfully led a team of case investigators during the COVID-19 pandemic, developed educational materials, and strengthened community outreach.
Earlier, as a Health Educator with the United States Peace Corps in Belize, she forged local partnerships that substantially bolstered health initiatives, benefiting a significant community.
She holds a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Health Organization and Policy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina.
