Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West

Voted the #1 Western Museum in the U.S., the Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West celebrates the art, history, and unique stories of the 19 states comprising the American West. The rotating exhibitions feature various artwork and rare historic artifacts from some of the world’s foremost collectors and institutions. Enjoy the informative video kiosks, outdoor sculpture courtyard, museum store, and inspirational film “Spirit Is” in this contemporary 43,000 square foot building. On this docent-led tour, you will learn fascinating details about the collections and current exhibitions from a trained tour guide. If you indicate you will be attending the Western Spirit tour, please understand that the NHC will make a pre-paid reservation for your slot. Fitness Activity – Sunrise Yoga

What better way to start the day than with balance, strength, and watching the sunrise? This rooftop yoga class is the perfect opportunity to stretch, breathe fresh air, and start your day with intention and focus. Get ready to ease your mind as you reconnect with your body. This class is for all fitness levels. No equipment is needed. Pre-registration is required.

Back by popular demand, this informal session provides a unique opportunity for sharing success stories, “ah ha” moments, emerging best practices, pitfalls to avoid, partner opportunities, and other news that will inform and inspire your colleagues. To guarantee your stage time, attendees will be provided with the opportunity to sign up in advance. Participants will have five minutes to share success stories with other attendees.

NHC’s Community Connect Spotlight 
Waste Not – Eliminating Food Waste and Hunger
The NHC is partnering with the food rescue organization Waste Not to donate surplus food from this event. Waste Not has been reimagining and reinventing the food rescue process in Arizona for over 35 years. They have created sustainable food systems that help people and the planet flourish by bridging the gap between food waste and hunger. Their efforts include rescuing perishable and prepared food before it goes to waste and delivering it to nonprofits that provide critical community services within the same day. In 2022, Waste Not rescued nearly 2.4 million pounds of food. Learn more about the mission of Waste Not.
