NHC will host the 2025 Science of Patient Engagement Symposium on May 7–8, 2025, at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. With the theme “Medicine, MedTech, and AI,” the event will bring together leaders from MedTech, healthcare, patient advocacy, and research to explore how medical technology and AI are transforming patient-centered care.
A new feature this year is a half-day workshop on Day 1, titled Empathy-First Innovation: How to Embed Patient Advocacy in the Design Process, focused on involving the patient community in medical device development. The workshop is open to patients, Chief Medical and Science Officers, and Research Leads of patient organizations.
